Terms of use

These terms govern this website. Professional fire and security work starts only under a signed agreement. Submitting a brief is a request for evaluation — not an award, a notice to proceed, or professional engineering services.

Effective September 8, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

This website is operated by MXLV Management (“MXLV,” “we,” “us”). By accessing the site, submitting an engagement brief, or emailing support@mxlvmanagement.com, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

If you use the site on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company, and “you” includes that company.

2. What this site is — and is not

MXLV is a United States fire and security technology delivery firm. We provide outsourced design coordination, project management, program support, project recovery, and owner representation. We do not install systems, sell hardware, or take payment on this website.

Nothing on this site is a bid, a proposal, a quote, a PE seal, stamped drawings, a code interpretation you may rely on, or a representation that we are licensed in every jurisdiction. Site copy, service descriptions, market pages, and indicative hourly ranges are general information. They are not professional advice and not an offer to contract.

Timelines stated on the site (including time to review a brief or name a lead) are targets, not guarantees. Actual availability depends on conflicts, geography, and capacity.

3. Professional services are a separate contract

We perform professional services only under a written agreement (MSA, SOW, or similar) signed by MXLV. That agreement — not this website — governs scope, fees, insurance, indemnity, PE involvement, and deliverables. If those documents conflict with these terms, the signed agreement controls for the engagement.

An engagement brief, email thread, or diagnostic conversation does not create an attorney-client, engineer-client, or design-professional relationship and is not a notice to proceed.

Where a jurisdiction requires plans prepared or sealed by a licensed professional engineer, MXLV partners with a qualified fire-protection or electrical PE. NICET certification does not replace a PE license. We will not imply otherwise.

4. Independence and conflicts

We will not represent both the integrator (or installing contractor) and the owner on the same project. We run a conflict check before we propose work. We may decline any inquiry, including after a brief is submitted, without stating a reason beyond conflict or fit.

White-label work for an integrator does not make MXLV a joint venturer, employee, or partner of that integrator.

5. Engagement briefs and other submissions

If you submit a brief or send project facts, you represent that you have the right to share them, that they are accurate to your knowledge, and that you are not sending passwords, badge or panel credentials, restricted network diagrams, or personal data of building occupants.

You grant MXLV a limited license to use the submission to evaluate fit, check conflicts, communicate with you, and, if we are engaged, to perform the work. We do not claim ownership of your drawings or confidential project information.

You are responsible for what you send. Email and web forms are not secure channels for secrets. If a job requires a protected file exchange, we will say so after the diagnostic.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use the site or brief form to spam, scrape, probe, or overload our systems.
  • Misrepresent who you are or which side of a job you sit on.
  • Attempt to access non-public tools, mailboxes, or other users’ information.
  • Copy the site to pass MXLV off as your own practice.
  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose.

We may refuse, delete, or ignore submissions that violate these rules.

7. Intellectual property

The site design, copy, mark, and compilation are owned by MXLV Management or its licensors. You may view pages for your internal evaluation of MXLV. You may not republish, scrape, or commercially reuse the site without written permission, except for reasonable quotations in a procurement file.

8. Third-party services

Briefs are emailed to support@mxlvmanagement.com through a form-to-email processor and stored in our Microsoft Outlook mailbox. The site is hosted by our publishing platform. Those providers have their own terms. We are not responsible for their outages. Our Privacy Policy describes how inquiry data is handled.

9. No insurance; no life-safety guarantee from this site

MXLV is not an insurer. Reading this site, submitting a brief, or retaining us later does not guarantee that fire, security, or life-safety systems will prevent injury, death, property damage, or failed inspections. Those outcomes, when we are engaged, are addressed only in the signed professional-services agreement and applicable law.

10. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MXLV DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT CONTENT IS COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR FIT FOR RELIANCE AS DESIGN, CODE, OR ENGINEERING ADVICE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MXLV AND ITS PRINCIPALS, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST BUSINESS, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). THIS CAP APPLIES ONLY TO WEBSITE USE. IT DOES NOT LIMIT LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW, AND IT DOES NOT SET THE LIABILITY TERMS OF A LATER SIGNED PROFESSIONAL-SERVICES AGREEMENT.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify MXLV and its principals against claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your misuse of the site, your submissions, or your violation of these terms or of others’ rights — including sending us information you were not authorized to share.

13. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in whichMXLV Management maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for disputes about the site or these terms is the state and federal courts sitting in that principal place of business, and you consent to that venue. A signed professional-services agreement may specify a different venue for that engagement.

14. Changes; miscellaneous

We may update these terms by posting a new effective date on this page. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the revised terms. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These terms are the entire agreement about website use. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Headings are for convenience only.
